At the MERLOT consortium meeting on June 20th and 21st in Saarbrücken, the project partners agreed on the further progress of their work packages and further developed the overall picture of their vision for the MERLOT education marketplace.
In the discussions during the meeting, the nearly 30 participants developed new approaches to the requirements of the Smart Education Services, the corresponding recommendation systems and the architecture and Gaia-X compliant platform design of the project. In addition, the mutual exchange after the keynote presentations revolved around topics such as the user perspective of the learners, the perspective of the service providers, and the planning and piloting of ELSI (Ethical, Legal and Social Implications), i.e., the ethical requirements for the project.
In addition to the content-related exchange, the participants actively used the breaks and the joint evening city tour with subsequent come-together for in-depth discussions and to network with each other.
